Define Yourself

Frederick Douglass

Define yourself as opposed to being defined by others it’s a difficult challenge but you can do it. By imagining, believing and pursuing. By being aware of your surroundings, people, places and things constantly being on the quest to learn more about yourself. By surrounding yourself with a good positive environment then implementing a plan, there’s nothing on earth you can’t accomplish. On this Black History Month step outside yourself for a moment and think about the life of Frederick Douglass. He is a perfect example of the aforementioned, born a slave overcoming the obstacles and finding purpose. He became an abolitionist, author, social reformer and statesman overcoming all the most difficult challenges of his time and labeling himself an American Success Story. He was truly a man of great spirit, remember god will never give you more than what you can handle.
