The holidays can be a difficult time of year, could be from the loss of a loved one, finances, loneliness with nowhere to go and no one to talk to. According to a recent study, nearly half of Americans report sometimes or always feeling alone (46 percent) or left out (47 percent), and just 53 percent say they have meaningful in-person social interactions on a daily basis. And while we may think of loneliness as being particularly widespread among seniors, some 45% of whom experience loneliness, the study noted that “Generation Z (adults ages 18-22) is the loneliest generation.”
One of the cures for feeling lonely and hopeless count your blessing, think about the needs and feelings of others. Acts of kindness can bring joy to others as well as yourself. Happiness is contagious.
Lastly, self evaluate think of all the ways you can make yourself feel love and peace by connecting with your inner self in a deeper way. Proverbs 11:25 the one who blesses others is abundantly blessed.
