The Golden Bachelors’ Bombshell Divorce

The Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist Divorce, did the Prenup predispose a failed Marriage.

The Golden Bachelor couple, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, who got engaged on the ABC dating show and married on live TV, are getting divorced. This announcement comes about three months after they exchanged vows. Interestingly, they had a prenuptial agreement in place, which they confirmed during an interview on Good Morning America. Which I think was a strong indication the marriage was doomed to fail. I would assume that’s the last thing someone getting married at their ages would want, (no security) that’s like getting a divorce with 1 month left to live with no money for healthcare or funeral expenses, very risky.

In their prenup the legal document outlines how their assets, finances, and other matters would be handled in the event of a divorce. Although I disagree, it’s a practical step that many couples take to protect their interests. During an interview, they emphasized that they highly recommend having a prenup to others. This recommendation aims to alleviate concerns about a potentially contentious divorce.

I think the couple’s children probably played a role in the (money) contention usually when couples break up its one of two things either money or infidelity.

However, they claim more than likely for the good of the show, “Despite their separation, Gerry and Theresa still love each other.” Their conversations highlighted their dedication to their respective families. They mutually decided that living apart would lead to greater happiness for both of them.

As for the Golden Bachelor gifts, Theresa had to part ways with her new Neil Lane engagement ring. It seems that returning the ring is customary in such situations plus Gerry probably needed the money. ~Balance Due
