Elon Musk’s recent announcement about potentially charging new X users for basic actions like liking, bookmarking, and replying to posts has sparked a range of reactions.

Many users are expressing their displeasure at the idea. They view it as a departure from the platform’s original ethos of being free and accessible to all, which it never was in the first place. Some consider it an unnecessary barrier for new users. I think unbeknownst to Elon he’s doing people a favor (bringing more attention to the scheme) People stop given the milk away for free. New prospects, don’t join and current users, should quit. Elon Musk can do whatever he chooses with his business, just like people always have the right to either join or quit.

I quit Twitter as soon as Elon took over, wasn’t hard to figure out the branding direction and his motives. The Tech industry is hoarding all the money and jobs and getting your content for free and now want to charge you even more money, thanks to the politicians there are no guardrails on Big Tech. We The People are completely at the behest of Big Tech they have all the real, true power. For all we know; we could be paying for advertising and have no concrete way of knowing if your likes or number of followers or viewership is authentic and in addition, you’re providing the content and the ideas for free, which they love to rip off because they have all the money and power and own majority of the politicians.

The only platform that’s somewhat reasonable; the one kids and teens love TikTok. The prostitutes in business suits want to takeover or get rid of, so they can suppress the young voters voice and knowledge and hoard more money for their rich friends. 💡

My Take: The Tech platforms should be paying the people for using their platforms, not to mention the platforms steal all the data and sell it to other companies, and then use it to sell you products and services on their platform. Furthermore, your creativity and jobs are being stolen to make them even more money with Artificial Intelligence. I’m sure this article will be suppressed because they have all the power and no guardrails, an decide which information gets disseminated so if you read this (share it), remember people are the commonwealth and must stand up and fight for truth and resources. All the money is concentrated into the hands of a few, and the poor keep getting poorer and the middle class are also worse off meanwhile the politician’s keep telling you how great the economy is.

Now the critics argue that imposing fees could exclude certain demographics or individuals who cannot afford to pay. They worry that this move might limit the platform’s inclusivity.

On the other hand, some users appreciate Musk’s claimed intention to combat the bot problem. By charging a fee, he aims to reduce spam and improve the overall quality of interactions on the platform. Since details about the fee structure and implementation timeline are scarce, there’s a sense of uncertainty among users. They wonder how much the fee will be and whether it will apply universally or selectively.

Either way opinions are divided, with some seeing it as a necessary step to maintain platform integrity, while others view it as a departure from X’s original spirit of openness. Regardless, the debate continues as users grapple with the implications of this potential change. 🤔
